SWISS K-31

Up for auction is a clean, good-looking Swiss K-31 straight-pull bolt action rifle. From the serial number and production codes, this appears to have been made in 1940. Receiver, bolt, and magazine all match. The rifle retains almost all its bluing, except for upper barrel band. The bolt is the quick and smooth action you'd naturally expect from these fine Swiss rifles. The bore is excellent: you can see from the photos how well the rifle shoots. The stock, for the most part, is like new: there is some minor wood damage around the spring clip for the upper barrel band; and there is an arsenal repair below the bolt handle. Apart from those 2 items, the stock is in excellent condition. No need to tell you, if you're looking at this, that these Swiss rifles are great shooters: accurate, easy handling, mild recoiling, and reliable as a blacksmith's hammer. These are fun to collect, but even more fun to shoot. Ammo is readily available. (lay-a-way is available upon request)
