CMP Special M1 Garand .308 (7.62 NATO) Springfield W/Eotech Holographic System

This is a CMP Special (Civilian Marksmanship Program) Springfield Armory M1 Garand, chambered in cost effective .308 (7.62 NATO). This is CMP's new grade of M1 Garand. CMP completely reworks these rifles, with a new production stock and handguard set, a new production barrel, and new web sling. The receiver and most other parts are refinished USGI (US Government Issue). You can go to the CMP's website and read all about it. This rifle offered for sale here is all Springfield Armory production. The receiver is a mid 1943 serial number. We all know what a great shooter the M1 is, but this one has been made even better. The addition of an UlitMAK proprietary optic mount and an EOTech XPS2-0 Holographic Weapon Sight (law enforcement\military grade), makes it a superior target shooter and hunting rifle. And since it's chambered for 7.62 NATO, you can have a lot of fun for very little $$$. The walnut stock has been expertly finished and is a gorgeous piece of wood. It will come shipped in the hard case from CMP, along with all of the CMP documentation, and 10 enblock clips. It currently has a new, period correct, leather sling, but the original web sling will ship with the rifle. The upper handguard has been removed and replaced with the optic mount, but will also ship with the rifle. Should you wish to convert back to it's original condition as shipped from CMP, you will have everything you need, and it takes very little time and skill. (You will then have a $500 Holographic Sight to mount on your AR!) I personally enjoy it as it is, as it is very "old eyes friendly", with the Holographic Sight.
