This is NOT a reweld. Transferable Springfield M1A Select Fire in "As New" condition. This gun is marked Springfield converted by Rock Island Arsenal. Transferable. "As New" with mirror bore. Brown plastic military stock with sling. National Match barrel. According to Lee Emerson, a leading M14 expert, he says, "A sister company owned by the Reese family, Rock Island Armory (Colona, Illinois), converted thirty-five semi-automatic M1A rifles into NFA transferable select fire M1A rifles before the ban. These thirty-five rifles were marked R I A on the receiver heel just behind the rear sight. M1A serial number 028758 is marked as such so it is a Rock Island Armory conversion."
