S&W 640-1 Centennial, .357 Magnum Revolver (Original Model)

This listing is for a Smith & Wesson 640-1 357magnum revolver. It is from a collection in which the prior owner is now deceased. The 640-1 was the first J (Magnum) frame revolver chambered in .357 caliber, in the mid 90's. This gun has all forged parts, no MIM, and of course, no internal lock. Features 5-shot cylinder, 2 1/8" barrel, and all stainless construction. It ships with the factory case and all original papers, including warranty card. The 640 is certainly unfired but for the three rounds of factory test firing. The gun shows no signs of handling wear, and is in 'as new' condition. This gun has a (3) day inspection period, but must not be removed from the delivering FFL premises prior to a decision being made. Additional photos available upon request. Please be specific.
