Plenty of Cosmoline left to clean off! This one is 1948 dated which means the factory had time to build this one well and nicely finish off the metal work and blueing. War era rifles tend to exhibit very rough machining and refinishing. 1948 is the last year for Soviet production m44 carbines. This one is all numbers matching, has nice clear markings and cartouches on the stock. There is an original sling included. I should have a box full of pouches and will include one with the sale of the rifle. The bore is bright and shiny with strong rifling.
