Here is an excellent reincarnation of the fabled Winchester 1892 Lever Action rifle, the Rossi R92 chambered in .357 Caliber, manufactured in Brazil by Taurus's Rossi holdings and imported by Braztech in Miami. Its only departure from the classic 1892 design is a hammer block safety, mounted unobtrusively on top of the bolt just forward of the hammer. Metal is entirely blue steel. Forend and buttstock appear to be Brazilian Walnut. Buttplate is blue steel as well. Weight is a pleasantly balanced 6 pounds empty. Barrel is 20 inches long, and capacity is 10 +1 rounds of .357 Magnum or .38 Special. Weight empty is only 6 pounds, and overall length is a compact 37 inches.
