Remington M1917 Enfield Rifle, Sporterized

Just purchased this Remington M1917 Enfield Rifle, decided that I'd rather seek out an original Enfield as opposed to the sporterized version I've received. I would be very interested in trading for an unmodified Enfield. The rifle has the following modifications: The "ears" have been removed (wind-guard), therefore the rear sights are missing as well. It's a very clean job, it's barely even noticeable. The front sights are gone as well. In lieu of the original stock is a solid wooden stock with a butt-pad on the back, for ergonomics. Scope ring mounts have already been installed as well. Everything else is absolutely original, barrel, receiver and the like with the markings to show. It would be an absolute shame for this piece of history, however modified it may be, to sit and gather dust. Judging by the serial number, 71508, this M1917 was manufactured in February, 1918, months before WWI ended. I hope this finds someone well, and that someone can truly appreciate the handiwork put into this gun, as well as the rich history. More pictures can be supplied if you contact me.
