Remington Mark III signal pistol, Mfg. between 1915-1918. Total prod. was 24,500. Single shot, 21 mm / 10 ga. very cartridges. Top break action w/ guilt plated brass frame showing S/N: 15395 w/ “T“ prefix. 9" round blued steel barrel w/ spur trigger & blued center hammer. Bluing on barrel 97% coverage. Bore very good, shows some superficial spotting, but these signal pistols never had a high-polished bore from the outset. 2-piece walnut grips are S/N'd to gun. Grips are in VG condition, just some very superficial surface mars & right grip has one tiny chip at the butt where it meets the metal, in the center. Receiver showing some surface mars, but nothing significant & there is some wear through the guilt, but coverage is still near 85%. Pistol is in excellent functional condition. Comes w/ Model 1917 Very Pistol canvas holster w/ leather toe in very good condition, but there are two frayed spots under flap on either side. Leather reinforced toe is showing some drying cracks & one darkened spot on back from putting the hot pistol back in the holster too soon after firing. Classifies as C&R.
