When Remington introduced its factory Rem-Choke system in the mid 1980s, we already knew we had winners with Remington’s 870 and 1100 series shotguns. That is especially true with the 870 Super Mag and 11-87 shotguns in 3 1/2 inch chambers; and here is one of the best accessories ever for those Rem-Choke threaded Remingtons, the Long Spur extended and ported choke tube manufactured by Hi-Viz Gun Sight Company of Fort Collins, Colorado. Photos show several specimens we came across from a distributor liquidation in South Carolina. These are all brand new in their factory packages, Hi-Viz part number LSHREM, 12 gauge .675 muzzle diameter blue steel choke tubes with five recessed ports for dampened felt recoil, and knurling for easy removal and re-installation. These tubes are made for any 12 gauge Remington Shotgun that accepts a standard Rem-Choke. These will Not fit Mossberg shotguns; won’t fit Winchesters, Brownings, or Benellis; won’t fit the gear shift lever of a 1959 Edsel. They will only fit Remington 12 gauge Shotguns that are factory threaded for Rem-Chokes, manufactured since about 1985.
