.45-70, USID #213, 24 inch barrel, blue finish, walnut stock, sling swivels, original sights, clear inspector's marks, 1881.
Produced by Remington in 1881-82 to arm Indian Police. Flayderman estimates that 500 were delivered.
Condition: excellent bright bore, 80% blue overall darkening and thinning, plenty of use dings, crack on right side of stock, very good mechanically, excellent marks.
