The only detractions to this Remington 12 gauge fully rifled barrel for the 870 Special Purpose or 870 Express is streaking on its sides from forend contact, and some weak spots in the finish near the muzzle. The bore, chamber, and scope mount are all perfect, and we estimate that the surface of the barrel still retains sufficient original finish to rate it as Excellent; photos, however, should suffice for interested parties to judge finish grade for themselves. Replacement price on this barrel in our area is $300 or more; yet we’re offering this very nice 1994 manufactured barrel for only $ 149.95
