03A3 Springfield 30-06 Sporter

I originally purchased this rifle with the intent to salvage the action for another project. Since I have never gotten around to that other project I am selling the rifle. It is certainly no Griffin & Howe but it does shoot (as in go bang). It looks as though it was drilled for a Lyman style aperture sight at one time as well as having a dovetail in the barrel for another sight. There is no front sight installed and the barrel is stamped what appears to be “R A” above a flaming bomb (?) and “7-43” below that. It is drilled for a scope mount as seen in the pic. The mount is included with the rifle as is the petrified rubber recoil pad. I threw a scope on it and shot some surplus 06 ball through it when I first picked it up years back; it’s no target rifle…just being honest.
