The barrel is ported to give you the ability to use high velocity ammunition while achieving subsonic velocities. You read that correctly, no need for subsonic ammo. In fact you are not supposed to use subsonic ammo in this gun. This gun utilizes a patented one piece core that is machined from billet stainless steel bar stock and is completely user serviceable. The construction of the integral is built to last! It is also FULL AUTO RATED so it can handle some serious use. Includes everything that Ruger packaged with the rifle (box, bag, lock, manuals, and 10 round magazine) at the factory.
