Ruger & Company Inc. The Ruger Mark III Hunter is a semi-automatic pistol that utilizes a blowback action and is chambered in .22 LR. It has the typical performance, reliability and durability that are characteristic of Ruger firearms make the Mark III pistol an excellent choice for small game hunting, plinking and target shooting. The Ruger Mark III Hunter features a stainless-steel frame with a 6.9-inch target-crowned fluted bull barrel. It also features checkered Cocobolo grips a quick and easy-to-find V-notch rear sight blade, and a Hi-Viz front sight with six interchangeable Lite Pipes and is drilled and tapped to accept Weaver-style scope base adapters to mount your optics. The MK III Hunter has several safety features, making it an extremely safe 22 pistol. It has a loaded chamber indicator on the side of the receiver indicates when the chamber is loaded by sight or touch. A manual thumb safety locks the sear, while allowing the pistol to be loaded and unloaded when engaged. A magazine disconnect prevents the pistol from firing once the magazine is removed and a internal key lock renders the pistol totally inoperable.
