Manufacturer is Remington Arms of Ilion, NY and Huntsville, Alabama. Barrel is 26 inch heavy type with integral ported brake on its muzzle. Outside diameter is .8225 at the crown, .810 behind the brake area, and tapers back up to 1.24 inches at the action. Rifling is 1:10 six groove right hand. Magazine is original steel factory issue Accurate-Mag, holds 4 rounds of .338 Lapua Magnum caliber ammunition, so 4 + 1 fully loaded capacity. Bolt is spiral fluted steel, with oversized serrated .845 operating handle. Receiver is drilled on 4 positions for 8x40 thread base screws; the two nearest screw holes are on 4.48 inch centers, Long Action. A whole host of bases and rails are available. Trigger is .350 serrated face adjustable 40X type. Trigger pulls single stage on its factory 5 pound setting with no felt creep and minimal overtravel.
