General Specs: Parker, Year 1936, 12 Gauge, 7lbs 12oz, Chokes Full, LOP 14 1/2", DAH 1 7/8", DAC 1 11/16" Serial Number: 238630 The single barrel trap guns (SBT) have come on strong with collector/shooter interest in the last 5 years. Parker built about 1900 SBT guns in all grades, with most being the entry level SC grade (still a Grade 4 Parker!) with 1779 SC Grade SBT's produced and only 151 with a 30" barrel. Parker built their target guns with strict attention to detail, with special chambers, specially bored barrels, and long, special taper chokes, as their reputation was made in the competitive shooter's arena. This Parker, sn23830 built in 1936, is in excellent mechanical condition. This fine Parker was fully restored by Larry Del Grego and Sons, a premier Parker restoration and service center in New York state. Larry Del Grego was a Remington/Parker employee until the early 1950’s when he left and set up his own shop. Remington gave Del Grego all of the Parker parts and declared his shot THE Parker Service Center for all Parker repairs. The gun shows as new in all respects, with gorgeous blue and case color finish on the metal, perfect screws, and a beautifully figured stock that shows just a few flaws. The rare 30” barrel has a mirror perfect bore. A lot of shooters are unaware that these vintage trap guns are still competitive even when shooting against the most modern weapons. You can go beat your buddies at their favorite traps and do it with an 83-year-old Parker! Also, with the best of patterns and tight chokes, you can cleanly take turkey at distances unheard of with modern guns. The gun weighs 7lbs. 12oz. and balances perfectly in hand. The stock of the SBT guns are modern dimensions and have a near parallel comb so popular with trap shooters. This greatly reduces the felt recoil while shooting hundreds of rounds of hot trap loads.
