Dolos transforms any standard AR style rifle into a highly portable weapon system clandestinely stored and carried in a small backpack, satchel, book bag, messenger bag, or any other type of carrier that anyone would think could house such awesome firepower. Dolos allows the rifle to be assembled and deployed in less than 10 seconds, providing an effective firearm to meet the most hardened criminal or extremist element. The Dolos theory of operation is incredibly simple. A tri-lug is attached to a standard AR15 upper receiver. A lock collar replaces the barrel nut and can accept a variety of YHM free float rails*. To deploy a Dolos equipped rifle, carefully insert the gas tube and barrel into the upper receiver and twist the lock collar up to 1/3 of a turn. The Dolos positive lock system engages to securely lock your AR assembly. Your barrel is now securely attached and ready for you to lock and load a round. Your rifle is now ready for battle, 10 seconds later. Dolos will transform your rifle into a take-down configuration and can be installed on an existing AR rifle in about 10 minutes. Take care to protect the gas tube when your barrel is separated from the rifle. Be careful when inserting the gas tube into the upper receiver. It can and will bend if improperly installed. Do not allow your bolt carrier group to slam home when your rifle is not fully assembled. Your charging handle will be damaged.
