It has been 65 years since the MP 44 strumgewher was introduced and one has not been made since the end of World War II. The PTR 44 is a true-to-original reproduction of the German MP 44 rifle, in a semi-automatic-only version. The PTR 44 is manufactured for PTR 91 Inc, by Sport Systeme Dittrich in Germany. Using original German WWII drawings and manufacturing techniques, they have produced a rifle that looks, feels, and handles just like the original!
