The Sako Quad has one receiver that fits four different barrels. The barrels are easy to interchange. Just the turn of one torque-screw at the bottom of the receiver gives a rock solid mount resulting in the kind of Sako accuracy that is world famous. Barrel change takes no more than twenty seconds – and this having never done it before! The four calibers for which we have chambered the Sako Quad are the 22LR, 22 WMR, the new 17 HMR and 17 Mach 2. You can purchase one rifle as a “combo” set, with all four barrels. Quad magazines are built with safety in mind, and will only fit the correct-caliber barrel. This way, you will always be using the correct ammunition for each of the four interchangeable barrels. The action is a brand-new Sako Rimfire action, with a 50-degree bolt-lift. It is designed to blend with the stock as one— flowing lines that will please the traditionalist and innovator alike. The quick-detachable 5-shot magazine comes in two versions: one for the 22LR and 17 Mach 2, the other for the 22 WMR and the 17 HMR. The stock is fiberglass-reinforced polypropylene, featuring new Giugiaro styling, ambidextrous palm-swell and an adjustable butt-pad system. Comes with an aluminum padded and fitted case.
