Original 1863 3-band P1853 Enfield

This is an original P1853 Enfield musket. The lockplate is stamped 1863, Barrel is stamped 1865. Rifle appears all-original except for slide on rear sight which is a modern replacement. The barrel is a smooth-bore and from my measurements is probably .69 caliber. Both the stock and lockplate are marked "Enfield". Weapon has War Department inspection marks on barrel bands and lock components. Lock functions fine and holds both half and full cock and trigger drops the hammer.
