Here is the story behind this rare gun, as told to me by Olympic Arms: When the (pre-ban) OA93 Pistol in .223 was first designed and constructed by Olympic Arms, there was a gentleman who helped perfect the weapon. This gentleman took part in crafting the first 50 OA93's from serial number DB0000 to DB0050. "DB" was his initials... After the first run of 50 were built the letters of the serial #'s that followed changed: I have owned this Semi - Automatic Pre-Ban OA93 for 10 years and personally NEVER fired. It is in PRISTINE condition and bears the serial number DB000X !!! This is a direct written quote from Tom (Sales Manager, Olympic Arms) which can be verified - "OK, here's the poop. The DB serial number is VERY RARE. This is not just an early rare OA, this is one of 50 that were made with the DB serial numbers, and were some of the first off the press as they say. "DB" is the initials of a former Oly Employee who headed up the barrel shop back when Oly barrels were winning everything they shot in, and really laid the ground work for the excellent reputation that they now have. He was also a private FFL holder, and were all sold through his shop. You got a good one."
