Here is one of only a few of the carbine variants of the SKS Rifles that we sold in the early 1990s. This is a CBA Import Norinco that hit port in our neighboring State of Virginia shortly after its manufacture in 1992. Barrel is 16 inch chrome bore with 10 1/2 inch bayonet; and this specimen has been outfitted with a Combat Exchange graphite based Sporter Stock that has the filler block for conversion to AK-47 Magazines. Scope mount equipped steel cover is also factory Norinco, and it supports a brand new 2 x 6 variable 28 mm Famous Maker Chinese Scope, 8 inch overall length, 3 inch eye relief, 1/4 minute adjustments, and 16 to 42 feet field of view at 100 meters. It includes also a near-mint Matte Steel 20 shot magazine. We sold this rifle new in 1993 along with fewer than 100 of its carbine mates out of some 1200 SKS Rifles we sold that year, so the proportion of carbines was small to begin with. This one has only had one local owner, and it has been fired fewer than 100 rounds, all with Russian and Chinese NON-corrosive ammunition. It is excellent throughout; the only detractions to the metal surfaces are operation streaking from the disassembly lever. Bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent.
