Navy Arms Schofield Revolver

This is a Navy Arms "Founders" Schofield revolver 1875 series in 45 colt caliber. This piece is a very special model. It is blued in the original charcoal bluing (which comes out a lovely blue color) which is an expensive process. The frame is done in color case. This revolver has a 7 1/2" barrel and cartouche marks on the grips. This is the favoured pistol of many of the famous gunfighters of the 19th century. Jesse James, Cole Younger, John Wesley Hardin, Virgil Earp just to name a few. The reason is obvious, you can reload this piece in less than a third of the time it takes to load a 1873 colt.
