Merkel .458 Win. Magnum O/U double rifle with oak/leather takedown case

Merkel O/U double rifle in .458 Winchester Magnum. Scalloped boxlock frame, ejectors, 24.75-inch barrels (good bores) and double-leaf express sight on integral matted rib. Markings indicate import by California Arms Company (on rib) and regulation for 500-grain bullets (on barrels). Weight is 10 pounds. Completely refinished to a standard far above original, it appears to be restocked with much improved dimensions as well. LOP is 13.75 inches over Noshoc pad, DAC is 1.5 inches and DAH is 2.5 inches. Cast (off) is minor, about .25 inches. Condition is at least 98% overall, with only the slightest indication of storage and shipping wear. Elegant scroll engraving on receiver, guard, forend latch, top lever and tang is crisp. Includes an oak and leather takedown case with brass corners and a padded field cover.
