For sale is a Merkel 141 side by side double rifle in 9.3x74R. This caliber with a Woodleigh 286 grain Solid bullet will kill anything that walks the earth. A slimline, compact side by side double rifle weighing approximately 6.5lbs. Anson Deeley lockwork, Greener-style cross bolt and double conventional bottom bite. This particular rifle has optional ejectors and double triggers. The front trigger is a Set trigger. Unique to the 141 is the ability to adjust the barrels point of impact for regulating different loads. Barrels are 55cm and overall length is 97cm. The receiver is coin and employs Arabesque style engraving. It has a beautiful, oiled European Walnut stock with an optional shadowline cheek piece. Also included is an automatic safety and cocking indicator. In addition to the very visible factory sights, I had a custom made rear peep sight made by Mojo sight systems with several apertures that fits into the rear scope base slot and uses the original screws. You can use it or remove it and insert the original scope base mount. You would be hard pressed to find a double rifle of this quality and condition for this price. It is like new. The only mention would be a slight nick in the edge of the trigger guard that was there when I purchased it new. Probably a rack ding. If important to you, I can try to photo it for you, though it is hard to see. Otherwise the wood and bluing is perfect. I have fired 40 rounds since new and it has never been hunted. It is regulated at 50 meters with Norma ammo of which I will supply 16 reference rounds.
