New lower price as of 12/23/24. 8mm. 1944 dot marked showing produced by Waffenwerke Brunn. Serial number on right side of barrel is 24G1. Serial number on left side of barrel and on barrel shank of receiver is 107. Serial number on bolt handle is 8023. Other parts of the bolt have the number 49. Bolt fits tight and cycles smoothly. No cleaning rod, no hood for front sight. Bore is shiny, rifling is still well defined. Barrel has import mark of FED ORD INC S.E.M. CA. The metal is in good shape, there isn’t any glaring observed surface pitting except on the buttplate. The metal throughout still has some original blue-ing. The barrel band at the front of the top fore-end wood doesn’t fit perfectly, but accomplishes its purpose. The stock has several handling marks typical to military use, but none of them are grossly obnoxious, and most importantly, there are no cracks anywhere. Everything functions flawlessly. A great usable and solid K98 for an entry level collector. I can provide several high-res photos and a video clip of the firearm in operation to any SERIOUS buyer. I am not a dealer.
