Photo shows representatives of a specialty Smith & Wesson magazine for a specialty, briefly produced pistol, the 4013 Compacts manufactured from 1991 until 1995; and for the 4053 from the same period that was discontinued in 1998. These .40 caliber pistols had the same size grip frame as the highly popular 4513 and 457 series pistols that were chambered in .45 ACP. As the photos show, Smith & Wesson and their Accu-Guide subcontractors solved the problem by dimpling the back side of the magazine, and by adding a protrusion on the sides of the magazine. These magazines are distinctive in those respects, so anyone who has one of these fine pistols should be able to easily recognize the magazine. These are 8 round mags with finger rest floorplate and red followers, as the photos show. All of them are in Very Good to Excellent Condition, excellent mechanically. Insertion and ejection scouring is minimal, same way with carbon deposits on the followers. They will fit NOT fit models 4013TSW; they will not fit the 4056TSW. They WILL NOT FIT the CS-40 either. Since these magazines are 8 round capacity, so they are legal in all 50 states. Please understand that we nor anyone else guarantees any magazine, new or used, to lock the slide back on the last shot all the time, and that is not a legitimate reason for a return.
