Marlin .22 LR model 995 Customized 1989 with ATI Tactical Stock VG

From its original owner here in West Tennessee comes this Marlin model 995 semi auto .22 Rifle. Manufacturer was Marlin Firearms of North Haven, CT, and so marked on the barrel. From its 11 Serial number prefix, it was manufactured in 1989, final year of production. Type is blowback action, tube fed rimfire semi automatic. Chambering is .22 Long Rifle caliber, High Velocity ammunition. Construction is steel barrel, bolt, and internal parts built into a zinc alloy receiver with polymer trigger group. Stock is early ATI one piece, with separate snap on barrel guard, made in Kentucky. Barrel is 18 inch 1:16 micro groove twelve groove right hand rifling.. Sights are screw on ramped blade front, with step elevator rear. Receiver is grooved for 3/8 inch .22 type scope rings. Magazine is factory 7 round; and this Marlin accepts 7 round, and any of the 880 and model 25 magazines in 15 to 25 round vicinity. Bolt operation handle is curved serrated, and depresses to lock the bolt open. Trigger is .250 serrated face, with push button safety for right handed shooters. Trigger is two stage, pulls at 5 3/4 pounds with moderate felt creep. Stock is skeleton type ATI, with 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 scope drop, and with 3/4 inch right hand cast. Metal finish is its original blued barrel, and black anodized front sight and receiver. Surface detractions are moderate, principally edge wear on the metal. Stock wear is minimal. We rate this Marlin as Very Good, 80 percent vicinity by our estimate, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright and clean. We estimate it has been fired between 1500 and 2000 rounds.
