Seller Description
Custom .22-250 sporter on Ruger Model 77 action by Larry Kmock of Rawlins, Wyoming. Made in the mid 90s and based on an action from 1978, features include a custom 24-inch medium sporter barrel and hand-made steel bottom metal. The classic sporter stock was shaped from a AAA-grade English blank and wears an ebony forend tip, wrap-around 26 lines-per-inch checkering with fluers, skeleton grip cap, skeleton butt plate with widow's peak, "screwless" inletted sling swivel studs and a cheekpiece with a shadow line. Bedding extends from the lug along the full length of the barrel channel, with a pressure point at the ebony. The trigger has also been tuned. MARKINGS: No markings (other than caliber) show on the barrel, and the maker's name does not appear. DIMENSIONS: Weight is 8.2 pounds and the length-of-pull is 13.5 inches. CONDITION: The bore is strong, with no indications of washed rifling. Metal finish is about 98 percent, with the action showing a light plum. The wood is 98 percent, with only minor indications of use and handling, and several small thin spots in the oil finish around the action. The price is firm and layaway is available.
