L.C. Smith / Hunter Arms Field Grade 12 gauge. Serial 97484 wears 30-inch barrels choked IC/M with 2.75-inch chambers. Additional features include extractor, matted rib and automatic safety. DIMENSIONS: Weight is 8.4 pounds. Length-of-pull is 13.8 inches. Drops are 1.5 and 2.7 inches, and the stock is absent cast. CONDITION: Bores are smooth and bright. Barrels are on face. Mechanics all appear to operate properly. Barrel finish is about 30 percent, with general thinning and browning. Exterior is roughing on both sides about 12 inches back from the muzzles and a 1-inch wide rectangular area on the left barrel is absent finish entirely. The silvered action has a trace of colors and some tarnishing. Initials "REM" appear on the refinished guard. The forend is about 70 percent overall, with a slivered edge (left front).
