Jerry Fisher Custom Rifle from 1970 Gun Digest

Price lowered 1-30-2011: Custom rifle based on Weatherby Varmitmaster action and chambered in .224 Wby and stocked by the great Jerry Fisher. Beautiful figured walnut stock with graceful fore-end schnaebel, shadow line cheekpiece, checkered steel pistol grip, Niedner style checkered steel buttplate, 13 5/16" stock LOP. The stock is checkered in a full wrap-around pattern with large graceful fleurs in 24 lines per inch and is some of the finest checkering I've ever seen. Trim 22" barrel, one-piece steel floorplate compliment the Weatherby action all nicely blued. Of course, the wood-to-metal fit and overall balance and styling is simply amazing as you would expect from a 40 year old classic Jerry Fisher rifle. 1970 Gun Digest showing this fine rifle is included with the purchase (sorry I don't have the Redfield scope and rings shown in the picture as they had been removed by the previous owner).
