JP Sauer sidelock Cape gun, 9.3x72R & 16 gauge, double triggers, layaway

J.P. Sauer & Son sidelock Cape gun in 9.3x72R & 16 gauge. Serial 95642 wears 26.8-inch barrels with an integral matte rib which in turns holds a ramp front sight and a two-leaf rear (one fixed and one folder) sight. Additional features include bushed strikers, sling loops, cocking indicators, automatic safety, round knob grip and cheekpiece. DIMENSIONS: Weight is 7.0 pounds. Length-of-pull is 14 inches with drops of 1.6 and 2.5 inches. Cast off is approximately .20-inch. The shotgun barrel chamber is 2.75 inches. CONDITION: Barrels are tight on face. The shotgun bore is very good and quite bright, with the rifle bore showing strong rifling and just a bit of roughness. Barrel blue is about 70 percent and markings are sharp. Receiver colors have given over to silvering and tarnish. The forend is chipped (left side at nose). Butt plate has a worm hole, along with several small chips as well. Wood finish has generally thinned and a history of field use shows in a tapestry formed of scratches and impressions. Checkering is worn. The price is firm and layaway is available.
