Only the rear sight is not original, and it is a new replacement, but period correct, Williams #54 Aperture, or Peep, rear sight. Our technician Mr. Frye has refinished the stock with Tru-Oil. Surface detractions are moderate to extensive, with some residual weathering to the buttstock, extensive toning to the barrel surface, and graying to the front sight assembly. Importer was Iver Johnson of Jacksonville, AR. This rifle is part of a run that lasted only from 1985 until 1988. Type is blowback action semi-automatic rimfire rifle. Capacity is 15 rounds, 15+1, of .22 Long Rifle caliber High Velocity ammunition. Construction is steel barrel, band, and internal parts; steel body magazine in an alloy housing; alloy front sight assembly, receiver, and trigger guard; and dark stained hardwood buttstock and barrel cover. Barrel is 18 inch 1:16 rifling. Safety is authentic lever type in front of the trigger guard, right handed shooter. Length of pull is 13 1/4 inches from the trigger face to the center of the buttplate. Overall length is 35 1/2 inches, and weight empty is 5 pounds 12 ounces with center of gravity at the magazine. This rifle’s bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright, clean, and excellent, and we cycled 15 rounds of mixed ammunition through it with no hitches.
