Ithaca Model 37T Pre War Trap

A pre war Ithaca Model 37 Trap Grade is the most sought after of all Model 37’s. It is considered the “The King of Ithaca Repeaters”. A first year gun manufactured in 1937, it is a 12 gauge with a 30 inch full fixed choke barrel. It has the wide vent rib used on the Ithaca Single Barrel Trap gun’s of that era, with ivory front and mid beads. The butt stock is highly figured walnut with a LOP of 14 ½ inches to an Ithaca Sunburst recoil pad. DAC is 1 ½ inches; DAH is 1 7/8 inches…the same measurements as the standard dimensions found on the Ithaca SBT’s. The comb is deeply fluted with the magnificent fleur-de-lis checkering pattern on each side of the grip which flows over the top of the wrist. The highly figured walnut beavertail forend also has the fluer-de-lis checkering pattern. Both the metal and the wood on this gun are in excellent condition. There is a very faint surface crack in the finish on the right cheek that occurs frequently in early M37’s. That is the only mark on the gun…otherwise it is in absolutely mint highest condition pre war 37T that I have ever encountered. The gun is all original and would be considered the “centerpiece” of an Ithaca M37 collection. Must ship to an FFL; C&R ok. Three day non-live firing, and non-disassembly inspection period.
