Rare Quackenbush Bicycle Single Shot Rifle

The Quackenbush rifles are a desirable collector item. Manufactured between 1896 and 1919 this is 1 of 4,321 of these Quackenbush single shot rifles made. This 12-inch barrel Quackenbush is in very good condition and retains almost all of its original finish. Blade front and notch rear sights, with a casehardened breechblock and stock swivel, niter blue trigger and small parts, and a polished nickel finish on the remainder. The bore has scattered pitting, sharp lettering, numerals and design on metal and wood and the rifle functions and shoots well. It is missing the telescoping wire buttstock with serrated butt and has a custom made wood grip added over the wire frame. This is one of the "neatest" boys rifles ever made.
