French MAS 36 Chambered in .308

French MAS 1936 Chambered for standard NATO 7.62 (receiver is marked .308); both metal and wood are in like new, near perfect condition - for the most part. There are a couple of minor blemishes - one chip behind the front blade sight - along the grain of the wood was knocked off glued back on - hard not to miss but does not affect functionality; and there is another slight hairline crack above the left trigger/guard running along the wood grain, barely noticeable but does not affect functionality;. As for the metal, critical areas are EXCELLENT - such as bolt, bolt head, bore, barrel and receiver. However, there are some unusual wear/? marks on the mid ring/band and and aftermarket nut holding the sling band in place. Overall, this would be a good "shooter" and/or wall-hanger historical piece. I ALSO have the follow-on semi-automatic rifles that took these rifle's place (the MAS 49). Counter-offers on price would be considered.
