Engraved Colt 3rd Model Deringer

Engraved Colt Third Model Thuer Derringer.  .41 cal. rim fire single shot with a 2 1/2 inch rifled barrel that swings to the right to load.  Brass frame with walnut grips.  This is an unusual example with a non-factory engraving of oak leaves on the frame and decorative designs on the back strap.  The Colt name on the top of the barrel is embellished with gold inlay.  Shows little wear with 60 percent of the original blue, the remainder has flaked off leaving a brown patina.  No corrosion.  The frame had a thin silver plate, most of which has evaporated.  A very attractive gun, likely one of a kind.   E Mail me for more pictures.
