Enfield 1862 Musket

Civil War Enfield Musket 577 cal Bore VG, Mech VG plus, Wood VG plus with some markings in the wood ahead of the buttplate tang and an oval cartouche on the left side. The 39” Rd barrel is missing the rear sight and has 25 25 , English proofs and J&P markings. The lockplate is marked Tower 1862 with a crown to the rear. Metal overall has a brown patina finish with just a little fine pitting in areas. Has a brass buttplate, triggerguard and end cap. The wood is marked F W Banton TH under the triggerguard. The sling swivels , orig. ramrod and rear sight are missing.
