Empire Rifles .450 Rigby on Granite Mountain magnum Mauser drop box action and otherwise properly featured. Serial number 342ARV has a 23-inch barrel with banded & hooded front sight, banded sling swivel stud and a quarter rib with one standing and one folding leaf. The action itself features a three-position wing safety, straight bolt handle and inside-the-bow release. The stock is fashioned from exhibition grade walnut with fine wrap checkering. It has double crossbolts capped with ebony, English cheekpiece with shadow line, Howell-type inletted sling swivel stud and a steel grip cap. Weight is 11.2 pounds with scope and LOP is 13.7 inches over Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad (pad is cracked). Metal finish is at least 98%, with only slight indications of field use. Wood is about 97% from field impressions typical of a single safari. The 1.1-4x24 S&B Zenith incorporates an interesting circled/crosshair reticle with heavy posts at 3, 6 and 9 o'clock.
