Seller Description
Weatherby Pre-Mark 5 FN Mauser based .257 Weatherby magnum sporting rifle made in 1954. 24 inch Timken barrel(T with circle around it), blued finish, jeweled bolt, extractor, and magazine follower, two panel checkered bolt handle. Weatherby historians confirmed the barreled action was originally purchased by renowned stockmaker Keith Stegall, who then did all of the stock work. The stock has very fancy French walnut with Fleur-de-lis checkering/carving, ebony fore end, buffalo horn grip cap, Pachmayr pad and shadow line cheek piece. There groups of inlays that appear to be a combination of rosewood, mesquite and maple. There are three total, one on the butt stock and two on the forend, one on each side. There is also a Bausch & Lomb Bal Var 8 scope with Buehler micro dial scope mount.
This rifle is in excellent condition with few signs of use. I will gladly send additional pictures upon request. No trades.
