Comanche .45 / .410 Single Shot Pistol 10 in Blue NIB

Industria Argentina has brought us excellent firearms for years, despite their Brazilian competitors’ greater numbers. From one of the Bersa Importers, RSA in New Jersey, Comes this Super Comanche Single Shot Pistol on the lines of the 1858 Remington Army Revolver. In our neck of the woods, this pistol is ideal as a backup gun in cold weather for hunting, and in hot weather for protection against the most feared reptile in Tennessee and Mississippi, the water moccasin. Like its Brazilian neighbor the Taurus Judge, this Super Comanche will handle both .45 Colt and 3 inch .410 gauge ammunition. Barrel is 9 3/4 inches including the removable choke tube. Barrel proper is rifled blue steel and the chamber housing is attractive black matte steel. Hammer, internal parts, trigger, and breech lever are all wrinkle finish matte steel, and the frame is one piece glossy black anodized alloy. Sights are windage and elevation adjustable leaf type rear and blade front. Grips and forend are high impact polymer. Rear sight will remove, and sight block has a three position drilled base for optics. The two forward holes appear to match a Weaver #61 base, but we have no ideal what kind of three hole base will fit. When we find out, we will edit this ad. Type is single shot breech-loading pistol, and the unbreeching motion is quite stiff, but we anticipate that would smooth out with some actual use. Weight is just under 42 ounces empty, a bit more than a Taurus Judge, so recoil should not be much of a problem. The grip frame is contoured similarly to a Colt Single Action Army, and we will further edit this ad when we learn whether commonly available Pachmayr or Hogue Grips will interchange.
