1995 Blue Label COLT SPORTER TARGET R6551 AR-15

Colt AR-15 Sporter Target model R6551, bought in 1995, mfr 1994, purchased for investment, placed into storage. No more than 20 rounds ever fired. Condition is “as-close-to-New” as can be. AR ships with original box, with the original plastic sleeve stamped with the serial number of the rifle, with original orange barrel warning tag. Includes original booklet, no magazines, cleaning brushes, and original black sling. Also includes non-Colt padded rifle case and BP42 Boonie Packer sling. Weapon ships with Colt rifle in padded rifle case (for transport) but not “in” original box (to preserve the box). Box has cat-scratch-storage damage, see photos for details. This is one of the models most sought after by collectors, has the sear block stamped "Colt", and the bayonet lug was cut off to comply with the ban. Also consider that (in my view) this is a "limited edition" weapon for a collector, since: -- Colt will never make this series again, -- there were only a limited number of these made, -- very few of them are as "like new" with the original box, manuals, etc, as described; -- and will most likely over time increase in value as an investment. If you want an AR to use to go shoot-up the range (for fun), this weapon is probably not for you.
