With a 1 in 7” twist, ammunition selection is virtually unlimited. Designed specifically for lightweight mobility, speed of target acquisition, and potent firepower capability; the 6920 is ideal for tactical deployment and traditional patrol. Colt’s unique direct gas operating system eliminates the conventional operating rod and results in fewer and lighter components and accommodates the full range of 5.56mm ammunition, including the NATO M855/SS109 and U.S. M193. Straight-line construction disperses recoil straight back to the shoulder, increasing handling capabilities, especially during repeated fire. Flash hider/compensator further reduces muzzle climb and helps eliminate flash and dust signatures. The term Dissipator as it pertains to AR-15 carbines refers to a configuration with either a carbine-length or mid-length gas system and a rifle length hand guard.
