Colt 1855 Revolving Rifle (.56 Cal.)

Here we have a rather unique item. A Colt 1855 Revolving Rifle (.56 Cal.). This item has a 37.5” barrel. Suprisingly a good portion of the rifling remains intact. The exterior of the rifle exhibits the pitting that is to be expected from a 150+ year old long arm. This Colt was restored last year to the state it is in now by the owner of our store and is functional with the exception of a couple of the nipples are corroded shut. The cleaning rod and the loading lever latch are the only non-original parts, they are a new production item that we ordered in and aged to more closely match the gun at the customers request. D.O.M. is between 1856-1864.
