Classic M1 Garand /New Criterion Barrel

Classic M1Garand in 30'06. All M1's sold by Altus Arms are stripped down to its components, bolts & trigger groups broken down, sights removed. All metal is then reparked and gas cylinder reblued. All parts have been gauged & passed, including index, head-space, timing, throat erosion, muzzle, barrel straightness, firing pin protrusion, gas cylinder & op rod piston wear. All models have used USGI parts in excellent condition, new DuPage walnut stocks & handguards, and new barrels, unless otherwise 10 enbloc clips. Please educate yourselves as to the legal requirements for buying and selling firearms in Interstate where it concerns the CMP, and non FFL person who is not an FFL commits a Federal crime by conducting repeat business for profit in the firearms trade. Discounts given to purchasers at CMP undermine the market value for all Garands if CMP buyers illegally turn around and sell these guns for profit after they signed an affidavit swearing that the weapon was for personal use only. Many CMP rifles are not even fit to be fired. Some are battered hulks in different grades of Mil-Surp thinking of buying a Garand, always ask about the barrel, if it isn't brand new, ask for the throat and muzzle erosion numbers.A reputable seller will be able to provide this information. Altus Arms sells only completely functional Garands with new barrels, thus the throat and muzzle erosion number is ZERO.
