This is a beautiful Charlin, Darne style 16 GA. made in St. Entienne, France and imported by C. Bartles et Butner, Frankfort, Germany c 1934. It has 29 1/2" (75cm) tubes, Double Triggers and a Simi-Pistol Grip with Cheek Piece, Splinter Forearm, Selective Ejectors and is Choked I/C & Mod. Made by Charlin et Fils for the German, Bartles gun house between the Wars. Stocked in highly figured "fiddle back" Circassian Walnut, 30% coverage light scroll engraving. 90% Case Color, 80% blue. Beautiful wood with only one small chip at rear of action (shown) and normal handling marks. 14 1/2 " LOP to black pad and spacer. Immaculate mechanics, a special piece.
