Browning 1885 High Wall 40-65 BPCR

The rifle is used but is in very nice condition. It features a heavy 30" (1/2 octagon 1/2 round) Badger barrel, original Browning rear soule sight and spirit level front sight. The rear sight comes with 3 eyecups. There are 8 inserts for the front sight – 7 are still attached to the fret or insert frame. As displayed in the photos the wood is very nice, especially if you like darker wood. I completely disassembled, cleaned, lubricated and fully check the rifle out. The action shows no signs of wear. The bore is perfect. The barrel, receiver and all other metal parts are in close to perfect condition. There is one small rough spot on the concave crown, but does not touch the rifling. The stock has a couple of very tiny “safe dings” that could be easily steamed out, but it’s probably not worth the effort. I’ve seen worse on NIB rifles displayed on dealer shelves. Overall the rifle is in very nice condition. Browning only manufactured these rifles from 1996 thru 1998. This rifle was manufactured in 1997. It has the redesigned improved extractor. The rifle will be shipped in the original rifle box inside a padded rifle case. Included are the sight owner’s manual and a copy of the original rifle manual. The rifle box is rough due to shipping and storage. The rear sight and eyecups will be shipped in the original plastic sight box. On a very accurate postage scale, the rifle weighs 11 lbs 10.8 oz with the rear sight and eyecup installed. A layaway option is available for an additional $50.00. Layaway requires 1/3 down immediately, 1/3 in 30 days and the balance in 60 days. ABSOLUTELY NO REFUND ON CANCELED OR UNCOMPLETED LAYAWAYS. Shipping and handling is $50.00, which also covers full insurance. Due to a history of shippers damaging these heavy rifles, I only ship FedEx Insured or USPS Insured Priority Registered mail.
