Blaser Luxus S2 Double in 500-416

This rifle is a Luxus model chambered in the new 500-416 caliber. This chambering offers bolt rifle-like velocity in a double rifle, unlike the 2,00-2,050 velocity of the Nitro Express calibers. It was designed by Krieghoff to duplicate the ballistics of the 416 Rigby (400gr bullet at 2,400fps), one of the most effective African rounds ever developed. This rifle was ordered by someone of smaller stature, and has a LOP of 13 1/4". As I usually like 14 to 14 1/2" on my doubles, I just add a Galco leather pad to bring it out to my size. The rifle has a small scratch on one barrel, but other than that it appears as new. If you can fit into a 13 1/3" LOP, or don't mind adding a pad or a Galco, this is a good deal on a double rifle in a modern and deadly African caliber. Price is for rifle only, but I have lots of brass, saddlemounts, and scopes, and other Blaser accessories to fully outfit the rifle for safari.
