Seller Description
Beretta 682 Clays- KOLAR TUBE SET, CUSTOM WOOD, 2 BARRELS, MORE!!!
This wonderful clays and skeet gun, snH08258B, is totally tuned for competitive sporting clays, small gauge, and competitive skeet with a second set of lightweight carrier barrels for the Kolar Sub Gauge tube set, fantastic custom wood by David VandenBrand of West Olive, Michigan (one of the best stockers in the nation), Gracoil recoil butt with adjustable length of pull, 22 chokes for the 12ga. and small bore tubes, and a Nasco aluminum airline case that houses the gun, barrels, and all accessories. The recoil system includes Gracoil, and Kolar porting on both sets of 12ga. barrels and the 20 and 28ga. tube sets. NICE TOUCH! To replicate this set up buying new would exceed $12,000 in cost. This set up is being offered for a fraction of that. Most are well aware of the reputation the Beretta 682 has within the competitive Sporting Clays and Skeet shooting community. The gun is tough as nails, superbly balanced, and as set up here, completely versatile in shooting all the events involved in both sports. Add to that the knock out wood that has been installed to perfection and you have “eye candy” as well.
Both sets of barrels are 29 ½” long, with the carrier set lighter in weight so that with the tube sets installed the barrels weigh the same and the balance of the gun is unchanged. The barrels retain 98% barrel blue, a few handling marks, Kolar porting for rapid target acquisition, screw-in chokes, 2 each of SK, IC, M, IM, F, excellent bores, 3” chambers, second set not serial numbered to the receiver, double white beads, ribs are tight, all in great order. The Kolar tube set with interchangeable chokes are all in excellent condition and includes 20 gauge, 28 gauge, and .410 bore, each with 2 IC and 2 M chokes.
The receiver is in excellent shape, high gloss coin finish, excellent screws, action tight on breech face and trunions, adjustable LOP in the sliding single selective trigger, trigger guard retains 98% blue, ejectors strong and well timed, ready for a few more decades use.
The wood is European walnut with gorgeous bold black veining in rich honey colored walnut background and fiddleback to boot. The layout of the wood is perfect through the wrist area with a nice, strong straight grain running longitudinally the way it should. The adjustable LOP Gracoil recoil reducer mounted with a Kickease pad takes all of the kick from the gun when shooting the big 12ga., along with the 8lb. 7oz. weight. The wood to metal fit is perfect, as is the checkering. The LOP to the end of the pad is presently 14 ¾”, with 1 7/8” drop at heel, 1 7/16” drop at comb, 3/16” cast off (can be bent to your specs for under $200 and within 10 days of purchase). This is the kind of wood that draws every eye at the gun club. NOT YOUR AVERAGE 682!
