BSA ROYAL 30-06 Featherweight

Here for sale is a rare old rifle. It was made in England by the world reknowned firm of Birmingham Small Arms. A Classic rifle in a classic calibre. These rifles were only made for two years between 1957-1959. They [Featherweights] were made very light with a cut-out on the L side of the receiver to save weight without loss of integrity. The Featherweights also had a very unique muzzle brake system installed at the end of the barrel [see picture] They also incorporated the large Mauser type claw extractor. As can be seen in the picture the bolt face shows ver little usage. The bore is perfect. The metal is about 99% or as close to perfect and still be used. The stock rates about a 94% as it does have a few small handling marks. The butt plate is non original but can be found on-line. While this is not an absolutely pristine specimen of the Royal BSAs it is a fine piece and one to be proud of. A pleasure to carry and shoot as it does not have the full recoill of a standard `06 and the weight is much more comfortable for even a woman. It comes with the original Parker Hale rings which are unique to the rifle much like the beautiful Sako rings. An older Tasco 3-9 scope was on the gun when I got it and will go with the rifle if the new owner wants it but , in reality, the beautiful rifle deserves much better!
